Michael F Sharkey

Michael is an experienced commercial barrister at the Victorian and Tasmanian Bars. He regularly advises on construction and infrastructure disputes, contract disputes, property matters, equity, and consumer law.

Michael focuses on commercial outcomes in disputes, balancing parties' entitlements and risks to pursue the best possible result.

In addition to his membership of the independent Bars, he is a nationally accredited mediator and a qualified expert determiner.

Michael is a co-author of the 5th and 6th Editions of Brooking on Building Contracts. His memberships include the Society of Construction Law Australia, Commercial Bar Association of Victoria, Melbourne TEC Counsel (MTECC), Resolution Institute, and Building Dispute Practitioners Society.
